Build confidence in internal quality assurance.

Understand the principles of internal quality assurance and develop the practice involved in checking that assessment is carried out consistently and appropriately.

This qualification is intended for people who maintain assessment quality within an organisation or assessment centre. It develops understanding of the principles of internal quality assurance and their application to assessment practice.

Qualification structure

Learners must complete both mandatory units, totalling 12 credits. Each unit carries 6 credits.

Focus Awards sets no specific entry requirements for this qualification.

Age guidance

Admission is at the centre’s discretion; Focus Awards advises that learners should normally be at least 16 years old.

Progression routes

Focus Awards identifies the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices and the Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices among the related qualification routes.
